O LORD, you protect me and save me; your care has made me great, and your power has kept me safe.

Psalms 18:35

With all my heart I call you; answer me, LORD, and I will obey your commands! I call to you; save me, and I will keep your laws. Before sunrise I call you for help; I place my hope in your promise. All night along I lie awake, to meditate on your instructions. Because your love is consistant, hear me, O LORD; show your mercy, and preserve my life! My cruel persecutors are coming closer, people who never keep your law. But you're near to me, LORD, and all your commands are permanent. Long ago I learnt about your instructions; you made them to last forever.

Psalms 119: 145-152

Look at my suffering, and save me, because I have not neglected your law. Defend my cause, and set me free; save me, as you have promised. The wicked will not be saved, for they do not obey your laws. But your compassion, LORD, is great; show your mercy and save me! I have many enemies and oppressors, but I do not fail to obey your laws. When I look at those traitors, I am filled with disgust, because they do not keep your commands. See how I love your instructions, LORD. Your love never changes, so save me! The heart of your law is truth, and all your righteous judgements are eternal.

Psalms 119: 153-160

Powerful people attack me unjustly, but I respect your law. How happy I am because of your promises- as happy as someone who find rich treasure. I hate and detest all lies, but I love your law. Seven times each day I thank you for your righteous judgements. Those who love your law have perfect security, and there is nothing that can make them fall. I wait for you to save me, LORD, and I do what you command. I obey your teachings; and I love them with all my heart. I obey your commands and your instructions; you see everything I do.

Psalms 119: 161-168

Let my cry for help reach you, Lord! Give me understanding, as you have promised. Listen to my prayer, and save me according to your promise! I will always praise you, because you teach me your laws. I will sing about your law, because your command are just. Always be ready to help me, because I follow your commands. How I long for your saving help, O LORD! I find happiness in your law. Give me life, so that I may praise you; may your instructions help me. i wander about like a lost sheep; so come and look for me, your servant, because I haven't neglected your laws.

Psalms 141: 3-4

I call to the LORD for help; I plead with him. I bring him all my complaints; I tell him all my troubles. When I am ready to give up, he knows what I should do. In the path where I walk, my enemies have hidden a trap for me. When I look beside me, I see that there is no one to help me, no one to protect me. No one cares for me. LORD, I cry to you for help; you, LORD, are my protector; you are all I want in this life. Listen to my cry for help, for I am sunk in despair. Save me from my enemies; they are too strong for me. Set me free from my distress; then in the assembly of your people I will praise you because of your goodness to me.

Psalms 142: 1-7

LORD, hear my prayer! In your righteousness listen to my plea; answer me in your faithfulness! Don't put me, your servant, on trial; no one is innocent in your sight. My enemies have haunted me down and completely defeated me. They have put me in a dark prison, and I am like those who died long ago. So I am ready to give up; I am in deep despair. I remember the days gone by; I think about all that you have done, I bring to mind all you deeds. I lift up my hands to you in prayer; like dry ground my soul is thirsty for you. Answer me now, LORD! I have lost all my hope. Don't hide yourself from me, or I will be among those who go down to the world of the dead. Remind me each morning of your constant love, for I put my trust in you. My preyers go up to you; show me the way I should go. I go to you for protection, LORD; rescue me from my enemies. You are my GOD; teach me how to do your will. Be good to me, and guide me on a safe path. Rescue me, LORD, as you have promised; in your goodness save me from my troubles! Because of your love for me, kill my enemies and destroy all my oppressors, for I am your servant.

Psalms 143: 1-12

Praise the LORD, my protector! He trains me for the battle and prepares me for war. He is my protector and defender, my shelter and saviour, in who I trust for safety. He subdues the nations under me.

Psalms 144: 1-2

LORD, what are mortals, that you notice them; more mortals, that you pay attention to us? We are like a puff of wind; our days are like a passing shadow. O LORD, tear the sky open and come down; touch the mountains, and they will pour out smoke. send flashes of lightning and scatter your enemies; shoot your arrows and send them running. Reach down from above, pull me out of thye deep water, and rescue me; save me from the power of foreigners, who never tell the truth and lie even under oath.

Psalms 144: 3-8

I will sing you a new song, O God; I will play the harp and sing to you. You give victory to the kings and rescue your servant David. Save me ffrom my cruel enemies; rescue me from the power of foreigners, who never tell the truth and lie even under oath.

Psalms 144: 9-11

I will Proclaim your greatness, my God and king; I will thank you for ever and ever. Every day I will thank you; I will praise you for ever and ever. The LORD is great and is to be highly praised; his greatness is beyond understanding.

Psalms 145:1-3

Don't put your trust in human leaders; no human being can save you. When they die, they return to the dust; on that day all their plans come to an end.

Psalms 146: 3-4

O LORD, my God, I come to you for protection; rescue me and save me from all who pursue me, or else like a lion they will carry me off where no one can save me, and there they will tear me to pieces.
